Aygan is a progressive metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed around 2001 and active into the 2010s. Their sound blends heavy riffing, groove, and progressive rock complexity, landing somewhere between melodic hard rock and progressive metal. The band released the full-length album "Plastic City" in 2010 — recorded at Mr. Som Studios in São Paulo and premiered live at the Fúria Festival on a bill that included Sepultura and André Matos.

Bad Salad is a progressive metal band from Brasília, Brazil, formed in 2007 by brothers Thiago Campos (guitar) and Felipe Campos (bass) alongside drummer Caco Gonçalves. Their debut album Uncivilized (2012) earned international critical acclaim for its complex songwriting and songs regularly exceeding ten minutes, drawing comparisons to Dream Theater and Opeth; the follow-up EP Puzzled appeared in 2013. The band was handpicked by Mike Portnoy to perform on the Progressive Nation at Sea cruise in 2014, one of the few Brazilian acts to achieve that distinction.

Ben Baruk is a Christian symphonic and progressive metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2018 by musicians united by shared faith and a drive to create heavy, introspective music. Their debut EP "Vidas que Choram" (2018) featured six Portuguese-language tracks blending symphonic arrangements with metal influenced by Periphery, TesseracT, Paradise Lost, and Paramaecium. The band has since evolved their lineup and shifted to English-language songwriting while maintaining their progressive and extreme metal identity.

Chowy Fernandez also serves as guitarist for the Argentine metal band Barro, where he recorded alongside Marco Minnemann of The Aristocrats.
