A short-lived São Paulo act, Maligun worked the intersection of metalcore and traditional heavy metal during their active years between 2013 and 2019, drawing on the city's rich lineage of heavy music while incorporating the rhythmic aggression of the metalcore idiom. The band remained independent throughout their existence before eventually splitting up.

Formed as a supergroup drawing from well-known names in the national underground, Marabô features vocalist Felipe Chehuan (formerly of Confronto and Cabeçudos), guitarist Davi Baeta, bassist Paulinho Coruja, and drummer Henrique Pucci. The band channels heavy groove and metalcore through dense riffs and politically charged lyrics, as heard on the single "Estacas," which was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Baeta and Pucci themselves.
Martirio is a metalcore band from Santiago, Chile, playing what they describe as evil metalcore with lyrical themes centered on anti-religion and social critique. Mass Mayhem blends metalcore aggression with power metal melodicism and epic tonal ambitions, tracing their roots to the duo project Primacy launched by cousins Lucas Sodré and Marcos Paulo in Parauapebas. The band signed with MS Metal Records and released material under the Mass Mayhem name, building a following in the far northern Pará state scene.
Maverick channel groove-heavy riffing through a thrash and metalcore lens, with socially charged lyrics that address dehumanization and internal conflict. The band built a steady catalog including "Quid Pro Quo" (2014), "Cold Star Dancer" (2018), "Ethereality" (2021), and "Silver Tongue" (2024), demonstrating consistent growth in both production and songwriting since their founding by vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Sernaglia and drummer Gustavo Polississo.
Mawiza is a Mapuche metal band from Wallmapu, Chile, formed in 2021 as the successor to Nunca Seremos Dichosos—a project that won the Pulsar Award (Chilean Grammy) for Best Metal Artist in 2020 for the album Kollong (2019). Performing in Mapuzungun, their ancestral language, and integrating traditional Mapuche instruments and rhythms into groove metal and metalcore, Mawiza have drawn international attention from acts including Slipknot and Gojira, the latter's Joe Duplantier appearing on their debut album ÜL (2025) on Season of Mist. Their work is as much a statement of Indigenous cultural preservation as it is a metal record.
Meraxes is a Buenos Aires melodic death metal and metalcore band formed in early 2015 around frontman Lucas "Luke" Borelli, with the current lineup also featuring guitarist Brian "Hardy" Gramajo, drummer Franco Capello, and bassist Diego Ibarra. The band released the EP "The Fallen Embrace the Hate" in February 2018 and followed it with "Goodbye" in January 2020.
