Deep Memories is a melodic doom/death metal one-man project from Americana, São Paulo, Brazil, created by musician and producer Douglas Martins. The debut album "Rebuilding the Future" was released in 2018 simultaneously in Brazil, Japan, and Russia, and the second album "Why Do We Suffer?" followed in September 2022. In April 2023, Martins expanded the project to a live band and performed alongside Portugal's Moonspell.
Desideratum is a melodic doom/death metal band from São Paulo, Brazil. The band recorded the demo "Dismal Untouchable Beauty" and operated within São Paulo's underground extreme metal scene. They have since split up, leaving behind a small body of work catalogued on Metal Archives under the melodic doom/death metal genre.
Immemoriam is a melodic doom/death metal band founded in 2017 in Cali, Colombia, by original members of local act Nameless. The lineup was completed in 2018 with Demolt on drums (ex-Misty Fate, ex-Liturgia), Jaime G. on vocals (Dissention), and William T. on keyboards (Alpha Cygni), and the band has released the singles Arrival (2018) and Prey of Oblivion (2019).
Lamentos is a melodic doom/death metal duo from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, comprising John Silva (all instruments, mixing, and mastering) and Paulo Brasil (vocals), whose Portuguese-language lyrics explore anguish, hopelessness, and existential reflection. The band released their debut full-length O Livro Proibido on June 17, 2023, through Abismo Metal Store, Sangue Underground Records, and Black Moon Records, with a physical edition limited to 200 copies.
Melodic doom/death metal duo from São Paulo, originally formed in 2003 and active until 2008 before reforming in 2018 with Rafael Sade handling vocals, piano, and keyboards alongside Daviid Amorim on bass, guitars, and drums. The band's comeback EP Two Funerals was released on November 2, 2018, and a compilation of all their remastered material titled Doomed to Funerals was issued in digipack format by Black Hearts Label in January 2022.
