Ekphora is a thrash and groove metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2020 by Thiago Soares and Gustavo Camargo, both veterans of the local extreme metal scene. The band released their debut album Sofrimento Final in November 2020, a five-track independent record with apocalyptic lyrical themes.

Excoria is a groove and death metal trio from Betim, Minas Gerais, formed in 2023 by experienced musicians under the banner of raw, intense metal played in Portuguese. The band released their debut single "Trilha de Sangue" followed by "O Caminho do Mau" in 2024, building an early catalog that draws from diverse extreme metal subgenres.
