Tábano was a three-piece heavy band formed in 2012 in La Plata, Argentina, drawing on thrash and doom metal in equal measure. The band released the album Mata o Muere and a demo track, Atrapado (sin salida), before eventually dissolving.

She writes, records, mixes, and masters all material herself, with the debut release Entrails recorded in 2009 and a prolific output that reached the 11th full-length Filled by Empty Spaces in 2020 and the 13th album Mourning Carnivals From Now On in 2023 on Time to Kill Records. The albums Belong to Nothing (2018), Deserts of the Soul, Filled by Empty Spaces, and To Become Unreal (2021) form a connected sequence she titled the Tetralogy of Solitude.

Vela Negra was a doom metal band from Brasília that sang in Portuguese and featured vocalist Zé Dai Hou alongside guitarists Vinicius Rispoli and Marcel Ianuck, bassist and visual artist Fabão Dourado, and drummer Tamiel Khan. The band released their debut single "O Inevitável Porvir" followed by the 2020 EP "Cemitério dos Vivos", whose cover art depicted Brasília's iconic monuments arranged into a skull — designed by Dourado himself.

Weedthrone was a stoner/doom metal project from São Paulo, Brazil, anchored by guitarist and bassist Nattens Man on Mars alongside vocalist Mellissa Rainbow and drummer Bitch Hunter. The project released the five-track album "Temple of Superdose" in January 2022, recorded the previous year, which included a cover of the 1973 track "What to Do" by Brazilian artist Vanusa. The band was celebrated in Brazilian underground stoner circles for its warmly distorted riff-heavy approach before splitting up.
