The project pursues a raw, organic approach to heavy music and released its self-titled debut album in January 2022, featuring tracks such as "I Am The Emptiness" and "Fire of a Thousand Suns." Operating without a Spotify presence, the project distributes its music independently through Bandcamp.

Kuarup is a Brazilian sludge/doom metal trio formed in 2025 by current and former members of Nekkrofuneral, A Peste, and Omfalos — José Antônio Dai Hou (bass/vocals), Fabrício Cardoso (guitars), and Vinicius Rispoli (guitars). Their debut EP, A Dor é o Combustível da Mudança, was released on March 21, 2025, blending heavy sludge riffs with melodic lead passages and lyrics in Portuguese addressing colonialism, fascism, and late capitalism.
