Ashtoreth is a doom/black metal band from Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, whose music is steeped in the mythology and folklore of the city known as the "island of magic." Their 2022 debut album Bruxólico — released on Dejeto Sonoro Records — weaves distorted guitars, unconventional percussion including a zither, and varied vocal approaches into six tracks across 40 minutes, drawing on local witchcraft legends and the poetry of Symbolist writer João da Cruz e Sousa. The album is envisioned as the first part of a trilogy.

Araguari, BR · 2014–? · disbanded
Asylum was a doom/black metal band from Araguari, Minas Gerais, formed in 2014 and later split-up. Situated in the Triângulo Mineiro region of Minas Gerais — a state with deep roots in Brazilian extreme metal going back to Sepultura and Sarcófago — the band melded the slow, crushing weight of doom metal with the atmospheric coldness of black metal.

A black metal act from Campina Grande do Sul, Paraná, formed in 2025. Their Bandcamp catalog already includes multiple releases — "I Can't Forgive Myself," "On the Edge of the Cliff," and "Violated" — suggesting a productive start for such a recently formed project. They represent the newer wave of underground Brazilian black metal emerging from the interior of Paraná state.
Santa Fé do Sul, BR · 2024–present · active
A one-man black metal project from Santa Fé do Sul in the extreme northwest of São Paulo state, founded in 2024. The debut release "Finis Adventus Parallaxi" introduced a sound built around esoteric philosophy, ego death, transcendence, and affirmative antichristianism — themes consistent with the introspective, philosophically driven strain of second-wave-influenced Brazilian black metal.
BR · 2022–present · active
Athus Cerimonae is a Brazilian black metal and dark ambient duo — Anatole (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Angellus (bass, vocals) — whose music explores existential metaphysics and occult writing. João Pessoa, BR · 2017–present · active
Atrymo is a death and black metal band from João Pessoa, Paraíba, formed in 2017 by members with roots in prior extreme metal projects. The four-piece — featuring Aracélio on drums and vocals, Ivan on bass and vocals, Ivaldo and Bruno on guitars — channels themes of human hatred, greed, and spiritual corruption through tracks like "Sentidos Infames," "Miséria e Ódio," and "Depressão," with lyrics sung in Portuguese.
