The Cross
Doom/death metal band from Salvador, Bahia, founded in 1990 by Eduardo "Slayer" Mota and widely documented as the first doom metal band in Brazil. Their 1993 demo The Fall sold approximately 5,000 copies, and after a lengthy hiatus the band returned to release the self-titled debut album in February 2017 followed by Act II: Walls of the Forgotten (2022, Pitch Black Records), which features guest vocals from Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride.
