Phantom Star draw from the classic heavy metal tradition of Dio and Iron Maiden, blending epic riffing with progressive structures and a cosmic, horror-tinged atmosphere. The Curitiba five-piece — featuring vocalist Matheus Luciano and guitarists Lucas Licheski and Mauricio "The Fox," both veterans of speed metal outfit Hell Gun — debuted with the single "Touch of a Curse" in 2024 and followed it with "I Am the Storm" in 2025.
