Originally active under the name Dunkel from 1997 before adopting the name Ninurta, this Santos-region black metal project released the demo Eternity in Pain through Nocturnal Age Recs in 2003. The band's approach centers on existentialist and philosophical themes, drawing from the raw, confrontational tradition of Brazilian underground black metal.
