Deadburied is a Brutal Death Metal band from Fortaleza, CE, BR. Deadburied formed in early 2019 in Fortaleza, the coastal capital of Ceará in Brazil's northeast, a region whose extreme metal scene has historically taken a back seat to the established centers of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte but has been pushing forward steadily through bands like Visceral Suffering, Siege of Hate, and the Wormholedeath-signed death/thrash act based out of the same city. The project began as a two-piece built around guitarist David Barroso and bassist-vocalist Anderson Nunes, with the explicit aim of channeling oldschool brutal death metal in the 1990s mold: the era of Cannibal Corpse's The Bleeding, Suffocation's Effigy of the Forgotten, and Brodequin-style sickness rather than the modern slam-heavy production school that dominates much of contemporary Brazilian brutal death.

Their first material was recorded at Maximum Violence Studio in Fortaleza, an in-scene operation that has documented much of the city's underground output and operates a small label arm under the same name. What began as a planned four-song 2019 demo eventually expanded into the full-length Exhumation of Worship Rites and Dementia, released in 2022 with 19 tracks including Feeding Abhorrent Spawn, Skin Eater, Night Ripper, Acid Embalmed Body, Cremated Alive, Bloodfeasting Beyond the Grave, Necrocannibalistic Rites, Macabre Stalker, and Sadistic Necrobutchery. The track titles signal the band's lineage clearly: gore-soaked old-school brutality, blast-driven and riff-heavy rather than slam-pit-driven, written for a generation of Brazilian fans who grew up trading tapes and CD-Rs of the 90s American and European brutal death underground. Deadburied represents a quiet expansion of Ceará's extreme metal footprint, working within Fortaleza's small, self-sustaining studio and zine ecosystem rather than chasing the larger southern Brazilian circuit.
