Avernal
Avernal is a death metal and death 'n' roll band from Quilmes, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, founded in 1993 and widely regarded as one of the most important extreme metal acts in the country. The band, led by vocalist Cristian Rodríguez alongside guitarists Federico Ramos and Gonzalo Varela, bassist Francisco Cañardo, and drummer Germán Rodríguez, has released eight studio albums — from the self-titled debut in 1997 through No Hope (2001), III (2004), El Sangriento (2006), and Tzompantli (2020) — and has shared stages internationally with acts including Sepultura, Meshuggah, Entombed A.D., and Deicide.
