Symphonic Power Metal
Aquaria is a symphonic power metal band from Rio de Janeiro, formed in 2002 under the original name Uirapuru before adopting their current identity, and their debut Luxaeterna (2005) and follow-up Shambala (2007) were both mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth at Gate Studios in Germany. Their sound weaves orchestral arrangements and soaring vocals around themes drawn from Brazilian mythology, nature, and spirituality. After a decade-long hiatus, the band returned with the album Alethea in 2020, featuring vocalist Vitor Veiga and keyboardist Alberto Kury.
