Ancientblood is a black metal band from Ilha do Governador, a district of Rio de Janeiro, with roots tracing back to an earlier project that later evolved into the raw black metal act Vinterthron. The name is a deliberate reference to the Scandinavian black metal origins the band draws from, and the project has produced raw rehearsal and pre-production material released through Ashen Productions.
