Ancestral Cântico is a black metal sextet from Salvador, Bahia, whose sound blends occult ritual atmosphere with shamanic repetition and hypnotic riffing drawn from forebears like Mercyful Fate, Venom, Bathory, and Rotting Christ. Their thematic territory spans ancestral spirituality, witchcraft, hermeticism, and anti-colonial consciousness, setting them apart within Brazil's underground. They released their debut full-length Ancestrais Dizeres Profanos in 2015, followed by Cânticos Lunares (2018) and the sprawling Hermético Caminho dos Saberes Ocultos in 2024 via Sangue Underground Records.
